OSHA Finalizes Crane Operator Requirements for Construction Industry
In a newly-issued guideline that has been in worked on for eight years, OSHA has revised the requirements for crane operator certification. This final rule is effective on December 10, 2018, except the amendments to 29 CFR 1926.1427(a) and (f), which go into effect on February 7, 2019. The previous requirements gave rise to industry concerns that is was open to too much interpretation, and the final rule is more clear.
